5 stars aren’t enough for this truly professional doctor, thanks to his holistic view of the patient and extraordinary competence and approach. He diagnosed pathologies that other less competent doctors did not see or understand.

I’m Alessandra, and I am 46 years old. I’m on my third back operation… the first two were for spinal stabilization and to repair a hernia, with other doctors. Partly due to their superficiality and partly due to bad luck, so to speak, the surgeries were unsuccessful.
Not long ago, tired, sore, and resigned, after having tried everything, God placed the solution in front of me. So, I decided to put myself in the care of Dr. Capuano, described by many patients as a shining star in his field; but, above all, I was drawn to him by his smile and his calm eyes – he felt like a part of my family right away.
And that’s exactly how it was… he was straightforward and sincere, and without beating around the bush he told me that he absolutely had to operate – and that it wouldn’t be simple considering my two previous surgeries. This caught me off guard – I have a disabled son to prepare, plan for, and to reassure regarding my absence, and I felt panicked.
Luckily, Christian understood my state of mind, and we immediately made a plan for my needs and for my son’s needs. He and his wonderful staff made me feel like part of their family; as if I was their sister, and when the date of the operation arrived, 11 September, I was calm and ready.
Although it was a bit complicated, the doctor made precise, professional, and empathetic decisions during the operation. My stitches have recently been removed and I think I will soon go back to cycling with Manu.

On 26 July 2023 I was operated on by Dr. Capuano at the Villa Berica Clinic in Vicenza. The doctor stayed in touch with me personally during the entire hospital stay. Before the surgery he explained the operation to me in detail and after the operation he came to see me several times. He also helped me put on my shoes so I could get up and try to walk. Besides the incontestable professionalism of the Doctor, I appreciated his humanity and empathy, first as a person and then as his patient.

Such an excellent doctor!! I finally found the solution to my back problems…
I came to Como from Apulia (where I was unable to find the professional care I needed) and the Doctor changed my life!! His professional approach was extraordinary. After receiving a careful evaluation, my father’s surgery was set for 7 June. He had surgery for osteo-ligamentous decompression, a foraminotomy, and lumbar interspinous arthrodesis. The surgery resolved his pathologies and his recovery was quick and satisfactory. We want to thank Dr. Capuano for solving the physical problems, but also for the attention and empathy he showed to us pre- and post-surgery.

My name is Giovanna, and I am 52 years old.
In May of 2022 I finally met Dr. Capuano – he had been recommended by my chiropractor. My problem: L5-S1 disc disease with left foraminal stenosis and a herniated disc (diagnosed at the end of October 2019), in addition to L3-L4 micro-instability. I had been having pain for about two years.
In June of 2022 I started having oxygen-ozone therapy treatments. Although they were beneficial, they did not completely solve my pathologies; so, in January of 2023 the Doctor and I decided on surgery using the microsurgical technique.
On 7 June I was operated on at the City of Bra Clinic (under local spinal anesthesia), where I was pampered before and after the surgery by the staff.
As for Dr. Capuano… what can I say… he is direct and plain-spoken – without using incomprehensible medical jargon.
Great professionalism and humanity are his calling cards and were just what I needed to face the operation calmly and to trust in his experience.

Hello, my name is Fernando, and I am 60 years old.
I went to Dr. Capuano following the advice of my physiotherapist. I had been suffering from pain in my left leg for some time due to spinal problems. After examining me and studying my MRI, he explained, without beating around the bush, that my problem could only be solved with surgery. His approach was highly professional and reassured me a lot.
First, I had oxygen-ozone therapy, which undoubtedly eased the pain, but did not resolve the problem. As such, after a few months I entered the Villa Berica Clinic in Vicenza, where I was operated on by Dr. Capuano for L4-L5 discopathy that was complicated by left foraminal stenosis and facet-joint ankylosis. As promised by the Doctor, the following day I was already up and walking without any problems.
Finally, I send my heartfelt thanks the Doctor for his professionalism and his empathy – he always treated me like a friend.
Thanks also to the office staff who helped with my trip to Vicenza despite the fact it was on a Sunday.
I want to sincerely thank Dr. Christian Capuano for what he did for my wife: She had surgery on 22 May, for a complex cervical condition at levels C3-C4-C5. She had a herniated disc and medullary compression.
A mere four days have passed since the operation, and she feels fine.
I met the doctor in January; he is such a great person, direct and sincere. He accompanies you from the beginning to the end of the your medical journey – especially in the difficult moments.
My advice to anyone who needs a neurosurgeon is to consult with this special person who really loves his job. I would give him 7 stars if it was possible.

My name is Simone and I am 56 years old. After a lot of useless consultations with specialists and physiotherapists (for 9 years), someone suggested Dr Capuano to me.
My first impressions of him were good. He put me at ease, like no one else had, telling me not to worry, and saying “I’ll solve your problem” in a confident and reassuring way. I left his office that day almost incredulous – feeling very positive – but always with a nagging doubt “will he be like the others, a charlatan?”
In the end, on 09/05/2023 he operated on me: my surgery was for decompression of the spinal canal and arthrodesis at level L4-L5 with the interposition of an inter-somatic cage (this surgery sounds complicated to non-experts), but the next day I was standing and walking easily. I believe it really was a miracle.
But I felt great; even the nurses at the Villa Berica Clinic scolded me because I was always getting in their way…
I left hospital on Thursday 11/05 in the morning, then on Sunday afternoon I drove my car, and on Monday I drove alone to have the bandages on my wound changed. Today, 15 days have passed since my surgery, and I had the stitches removed this morning: I am feeling better every day.
As good old Vasco Rossi sings: “And I’m still here, it seemed like the end of the world and instead I’m still here”.
I don’t know what else to say… HEARTFELT THANKS to the doctor and his staff.
I met Dr. Capuano through word-of-mouth and some references. I had reached the point where I could no longer avoid anterior arthrodesis surgery, and yet I was afraid to have it done. After numerous visits with many doctors and hospitals – and no clear answers – we went to Dr. Capuano for help with my mother-in-law, who had been suffering from back problems for three years. Doctor Capuano was the only one who was able to solve her problems.
From our first appointment he showed confidence, professionalism and humanity. He also quickly scheduled my mother-in-law’s surgery, because she could no longer walk.
The surgery took place at the Villa Berica Clinic in Vicenza. The clinic staff was amazing. Dr. Capuano performed the surgery on my mother-in-law and then my wife and I were notified by him personally about the operation’s positive outcome.
Thanks to his professionalism and competence he managed to resolve her problems. The doctor has always been clear with us and this has given us great confidence and security.
Three weeks have passed since the operation and my mother-in-law has started walking again and feels as if she has been born again. We will never be able to thank him enough!

I didn’t even know who Dr Capuano was!! I discovered the doctor through a work colleague who raved about him. Just an example of how small the world is, born near each other but we had never met…
Moving on to my positive review… Dr. Capuano is a person of unique human compassion. From a medical point of view I can only say that before the operation I could hardly move anymore, and a week after spine stabilization surgery, I feel like another person. I have just a little bit of discomfort from the wound, which is normal, but I already walk a couple of hours a day. I sincerely thank both the man and the doctor for his professionalism.
After having previously consulted two renowned specialists, my pain and suffering increased; as such, I decided to try Dr. Capuano.
At the first appointment he ordered a spinal lumbar/sacral X-ray and from it I was diagnosed with level L4-L5 anterolisthesis complicated by foraminal and canal stenosis. The doctor told me that surgery was necessary… I looked at him and reminded him that I was 72 years old, and he replied that he has operated on many others, who are even older. After a few days of indecision and moments of confusion, I decided that I had to take this important step for my health and I agreed to put myself into his hands.
So, last 11 March I had an operation to decompress my spine and lumbar arthrodesis surgery – both using the microsurgical technique. The surgery was carried out at the Villa Berica Clinic in Vicenza, where the entire staff was attentive and helpful. They reassured me and were present when they saw me agitated and worried.
The morning of the operation, before the surgery, Dr Capuano cheered me up and reassured me once again that everything would be fine. He is such a compassionate person. When I woke up after the operation, still in the operating room, Dr Capuano informed me that he had just spoken with my family, reassuring them and confirming our appointment for that evening. He came by again later and gave me an appointment the following morning.
The next morning around 10.00 am he had me get up and together we walked along the corridor. He also had me walk up a flight of stairs. I couldn’t believe it and was very excited – with tears in my eyes. I thanked this great man and doctor again. I am lucky to have never been in hospital before, but I know that a doctor like this, who really takes care of his patients, is not easily found, so I am fortunate to have found him.
Twenty-five days have passed since the operation. I am having physiotherapy sessions to improve my ability to move and I have returned to work. I walk easily without any pain and I have also resumed driving. Soon I will go on holiday to a hot place, as suggested by Dr. Capuano.
