Hello, my name is Eleonora and I’m 39 years old. I had been suffering from hernias for 4 years, initially a right paracentral herniated disc at level D12-L1, and a median L4-L5 disc protrusion. I had tried different approaches and visits with many doctors, when I finally met Doctor Capuano last year.
From the beginning, he took my case, also compromised by lumbar hyper-lordosis, very seriously. We tried different approaches, such as oxygen-ozone therapy, but halfway through the treatments we realized that they weren’t providing results. So, in the end, together we agreed that an operation would be the only solution to solve my problems.
With great effort and a lot of hesitation, I decided to do it, and on 27 February I underwent extensive osteo-spinal ligament decompression and lumbosacral arthrodesis for L4-L5 disc disease, with the interposition of a titanium interbody cage, using the microsurgical technique. Upon entering the clinic, I was very nervous. Then, on the morning of the operation Dr. Capuano came to my room to meet his patients, and seeing me very agitated he was very kind; he stayed with me and reassured me.
In the various operations which I have undergone in the past I have never met a doctor who is so considerate and who pays close attention to his patients; he spends time with each of them, and looks after them throughout the entire period of care, always communicating serenity.
After a long day of waiting, with my anxiety mounting, it was my turn. In the operating room Dr. Capuano reassured me once again, because I was even more agitated than before. And, even though I was the last patient in a long, complicated day, he made me feel like I was his first and the most important patient (thanks to his “activated owls!). Such a brilliant person!
The next day he came early to see all of his patients – and above all – to get us on our feet without any help from braces or supports. The first post-operative days were difficult, but his charisma and kindness give you the confidence needed to know you will improve.
Now, my period of recovery awaits me; my next step will be to get back on my bike (as promised by Dr Capuano). I don’t know how it will all turn out, but the doctor inspires trust and gives you hope.
Thank you so much Dr Capuano for your precious work, your professionalism and your incredible humanity. A special thanks also to your always helpful and kind office staff, and to the staff of Villa Berica.
My name is Martina and I’m 30 years old. On 8 March 2023, I underwent a herniectomy and a foraminotomy at the San Michele Clinic in Bra. I had the good fortune and the pleasure of meeting Dr. Capuano, a true professional and champion! Immediately after the operation, once the effect of the anesthesia had passed, it was as if my leg had been completely liberated; I no longer felt any pain (I had very severe pain in my left leg which had made it difficult for me to walk, sneeze, laugh, cough, etc., in short, for months my daily life was rather complicated).
In addition to being totally prepared on a professional level, the doctor has the ability to make the patient feel safe and at ease – and he has great sensitivity and humanity – qualities that cannot be taken for granted in a professional of his caliber. With great esteem and gratitude I thank you Doctor.
Finally, thanks to his office staff, who are all very competent and cordial.
I want to thank Dr. Capuano for his professional competence and also thank his entire staff. After months of suffering, I recently had a herniectomy and a foraminotomy and I am no longer in pain! Thank you!

What can I say? Who knows if everyone who takes the Hippocratic oath respects it? Dr. Capuano is a champion, a doctor of exceptional ability and great humanity! He even called me as soon as my husband’s surgery was over to reassure me. This, in addition to his care before the operation… ”first do no harm”… and the amount of care and attention he paid to me was remarkable! I affectionately and respectfully define him as a Samurai, precise… confident… a noble knight from another time! Thank you Doctor, my husband has been reborn.
Good evening. My name is Cristian. On 3 March 2021, exactly 2 years ago, I was operated on by Dr Capuano. He performed a lumbar herniectomy and L3-L4 foraminotomy using the microsurgical technique… what can I say, I was ‘reborn’ and since then I haven’t had any problems. I will always thank Christian because my story is UNIQUE. I wanted to share my happiness with you all. Thanks again.
PS: On a professional level, he’s totally beyond reproach, but also his compassion went beyond all expectations. I feel that he is more than a friend.
Good morning. On 15 February my dear dad was operated on by Dr Christian Capuano, who had been introduced to me by one of the patients he operated on last year. Well, what can I say… thanks to him my dad has started walking again…
My only recommendation to someone leaving the hospital after surgery is to ask if it is necessary to buy all the prescribed drugs or if they are optional (to have on hand if needed), in order to avoid useless purchases or possible unwanted side effects!
I will conclude by thanking Dr Capuano with all my heart for his spectacular work!!
Thanks, thanks, and thanks again.
PS: I will recommend his name to others – he’s like the ‘water of life’ to me!!
I forgot… his assistants in the studio… kind, and above all, always helpful!!
Hello. I was operated on about two months ago for a left side L4-L5 herniated disc with foraminal stenosis. Unfortunately, the oxygen-ozone therapy I had done did not have the desired results, so on 11 January, Dr Capuano performed surgery to decompress and stabilize the affected area at the Città di Bra Clinic. My quality of life has significantly improved and the unbearable pain that had affected any work or leisure activity is just a faded memory. I’m gradually returning to normal life. I have lots of physiotherapy (I’m a physiotherapist by trade), take long walks and am patient. I thank Dr Capuano for his professionalism and competence in managing my situation. Strongly recommended.
On January 16 2023, I underwent C4/C5 cervical arthrodesis surgery.
As soon as I woke up, I noticed improvements in my right arm and hand. And, the day after the operation Dr Capuano came to my room, had me get up, and instructed me on the correct way to wear the neck brace. The next day I was discharged.
I trusted the doctor from my first visit with him, based on his ability to convey great professionalism and his passion and dedication to his work.
Thanks also to all the medical and nursing staff at the Villa Berica Clinic in Vicenza for all their help.
Thanks Christian for everything!! With a big hug, Paolo
Dear Dr Capuano,
I underwent lumbar arthrodesis surgery with the interposition of an interbody cage at L-4, and L3-L4-L5 posterior stabilization. The day after the operation, Dr Capuano came to my room, helped me get dressed, and said: ‘Lazarus, get up and walk!!”. Following my surgery, Dr Capuano accompanied me step by step to recovery.
The doctor’s humanity is combined with great professionalism, passion and dedication to his work. Thanks also to the medical and nursing staff at Villa Berica Clinic in Vicenza; they were all so helpful and kind to patients.
Now, I’m back to being the person I was years ago, before I met this great surgeon. Thank you Dr Cristian, I will never be able to thank you enough for what you have done!! A big hug, Moreno
Dear Dr Capuano,
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of me over this last year and for the operation you performed about ten days ago.
For many years, I lived with serious back problems, trying to solve them in different ways with different types of treatments (physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage); but, these were not real solutions, they only buffered my pain. These experiences led me to believe I needed to look for a new approach to my condition, which was: Severe L5-S1 disc disease complicated by retrolisthesis and right foraminal stenosis.
I decided to put myself into Dr Capuano’s care. The journey I undertook with his entire team over many months was characterized by great professionalism and humanity.
At present, I’m recovering, but am noticing progress every day.
I want to thank you for caring for me and being close to me throughout my delicate post-operative period. Fortunately, I have always been able to count on you as a point of reference for anything I need.
Also, a heartfelt thanks to all the staff of the Villa Berica Clinic in Vicenza for their professionalism and compassion.
Hello, my name is Fabio and I’m a 51-year-old sports enthusiast. I was diagnosed with a congenital II degree anterolisthesis. It had been getting worse and worse, making my life more and more disabling, despite conservative treatments. But then, when I was told that I would have to give up doing sports because there were no more therapies to try, I turned to Dr Capuano on the advice of my physiotherapist.
I had surgery on 23 January, and now, after only 10 days I feel as if I could already start doing sports again. And yet, I am well aware of the fact that I will have to wait a few more weeks…
Heartfelt thanks to Dr Capuano for his professionalism and compassion, to his staff for their helpfulness and kindness, and last but not least, to the staff of the orthopedic and surgical departments of the Città di Bra Clinic for their warmth and cordiality.
Thanks again.
Dear Dr Capuano,
After years of living with various back and leg pains, I am so pleased to have met a professional figure like you. You always showed a great deal of humanity and were always helpful.
I also would like to thank the staff in Vicenza (Villa Berica Clinic) who helped and supported me.
Heartfelt thanks.

Hello doctor, For me you are number 1 and you will always be number 1. I can never stop thanking you for the serenity and trust you inspired in me, before and after my surgery. I have never met anyone like you.
After years of back pain and having two surgeries, I was fortunate to meet Dr Capuano. During my first visit with him, he was very helpful and explained the path leading up to my surgery.
Two weeks ago I underwent osteoligamentous decompression surgery, a foraminotomy, adhesion lysis, interbody cage insertion at level L4-L5, and L4-L5-S1 stabilization, at the Città di Bra Clinic.
Thank you Dr Capuano for always supporting and reassuring me. I truly appreciate your kindness for having called my family members right after the surgery.
Thanks also to the medical and office staff in Como. They were always kind and helpful!
At last I can say, after years of pain, I feel reborn!
