  1. Marilena Totaro says:

My name is Marilena, and I am 40 years old. For many months I suffered from severe neck pain that expanded to the right arm with consequent loss of feeling. After taking painkillers without result, I was sent by an orthopaedist who prescribed an MRI and an electromyography. The doctor also gave me strong medicines. Result: the pain increased and these powerful drugs created a lot of mental confusion. I returned to the doctor with the MRI, who very hastily told me that my condition was serious, to continue with the drugs for another two months and then return. The pain gave me constant, and daily life activities were difficult. Even sleeping, especially on the right side, was impossible. Tired of waiting in vain, I decided to ask my sister-in-law for Dr. Capuano’s number. He had operated on her back a year earlier with excellent results. Already at the first appointment, I realised he was different: he was sensitive about my problems immediately, put me at ease and listened patiently. He explained my clinical situation, never before really clear to me, with competence and professionalism. Finally, I had a diagnosis: spondylo-discarthritis C5-C6 complicated by foraminal stenosis. His advice was to use analgesic medicines and intramuscular and peri-radicular oxygen ozone therapy before surgery. Then, decompression surgery and C5-C6 discectomy, plus circumferential anterior arthrodesis with insertion of an intersomatic cage and opening of the foramen. It was set up for January 29 in the clinic in Brà. In the operating room the Doctor shook my hand, instilling me with peace of mind. As soon as the surgery was finished, he came to the ward, taking care to inform my husband about the outcome of the operation. In the afternoon he came to my room to find out how I was, and told me we would meet again next morning when he would explain the post-operative course. On January 31 I was discharged, and I have followed his advice, so I am back to normal. Finally, I am free of pain. Based on my experience I highly recommend this great person. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

    Grandate, 5 Dec. 2017
Last September, facing X-rays and an MRI that showed a really serious condition of the spine, and especially, severe stenosis in the lumbar region, our doctor, Dr. Bianchi, here in Grandate, advised me to contact Dr. Christian Capuano. Well, my wife and I will always be grateful to our doctor for giving us that advice.
We will always be grateful to Dr. Capuano for having solved a very delicate problem, as you can well imagine. Yes, because after his surgery, on November 22, I now walk like a 30 year old (I was forgetting to say that I am 76!). I now walk easily, without any pain, since the morning of the day after the operation!
My wife and I have great appreciation for Dr. Capuano, as a “top level” neurosurgeon, but also for his empathy and attention towards the patient. When I first went to Dr. Capuano I had two crutches, used cortisone for pain and I had an urgent problem, very important to us, a trip abroad. I immediately underwent intensive ozone therapy treatment, which, with the medicines he prescribed for me, enabled me to take our trip and get to the date of the surgery in Brà.
If it were possible to give marks, we would vote a 10 with honours.
    Thanks Dr. Capuano.

Hello, my name is Gabriele and I work as a mason. I want to start from the beginning of my ordeal with my back, which dates back to 2005. X-rays and an MRI informed me that my pain resulted from disc disease at L5/S1. The doctor advised me to swim and strengthen my back muscles. So, I did this, without any relief. Then, I spent several years, between highs and lows, with Voltaren to mitigate my pain. Following the advice of a friend I set up 10 sessions of ozone therapy, but to no avail. After a month I was right back at the beginning until a friend of my wife gave us Dr. Capuano’s phone number. He followed me, and finally performed my surgery. I was operated on November 6 at the Eporidiese clinic in Ivrea, which I found comfortable, efficient and clean. I want to thank Dr. Carnini and his assistants for caring for me during my stay in the clinic. But, I especially want to thank Dr. Christian Capuano for supporting me from the beginning, never leaving me alone and taking responsibility for my recovery; for his professionalism and humanity towards his patients. Thank you to Marinella, for her kindness and patience, and to the staff I do not know yet, because my recovery is not yet over, but I already feel many benefits.
Thank you Doctor Capuano for everything you do to improve our lives

  4. Roberta says:

My name is Roberta, and I am 47 years old. I was the European and World Champion of Kumite Karate for 9 years and have been a patient of Dr. Capuano since the beginning of June of this year, when I discovered I was not as indestructible as I thought… after my back became completely stuck. I had an MRI and discovered (even if the pain I felt made me suspect something…) that I had 5 hernias, other disc diseases and a vertebra that was out of place. Thanks to my physiotherapist’s advice, I entrusted myself completely to Christian (forgive me for the informality but he has become for “one of a family”). From June until now I have had 12 sessions of ozone therapy. It has not been easy or painless, but I have always had the support and the comfort of a true professional and a friend. Now, after 6 months, I can say I feel much better. I’m back to training at the gym and I’m confident about the future. Thanks to a serious and competent doctor. Thanks Christian.

  5. Uccheddu Nicoletta says:

Hello, my name is Stefania and I am the daughter of one of Dr. Capuano’s patients.
I have assisted my mother on this difficult path with her back problems, and after seeing several other doctors, we have ended up in the care of a very special doctor… he is attentive, very prepared and listens to the patient.
Doctor Capuano is a perfect balance between competence and humanity.
Mom is now another person; besides living without pain, she has also regained her self-confidence.
I also want to thank your precious assistant, Marinella.
    Thanks again, Nicoletta and Stefania

  6. Sandra Bruscagin says:

Whoever finds CHRISTIAN CAPUANO, finds a real treasure!!
My name is Sandra, and I found him.
I’ve been in his care for two months and I’m definitely better.
Struck by his professionalism and humility, I entrusted myself completely to his care and valuable advice.
    I was not wrong.
I am aware of how lucky I am to be one of his many patients.
I have not suffered from anymore useless pain, wasted my time or my MONEY!!
Another point in his favour: HONESTY, both economic and professional.
I thank his collaborators, Andrea, the physiotherapist, Gianpiera, the nurse, Mrs. Paresce, the naturopath and finally, Marinella, his secretary. All professional, fast, patient and always available.
THANK YOU CHRISTIAN FOR YOUR PRECIOUS HELP, THANKS FOR MAKING US WELL!!
    THANKS FOR EXISTING!!!

  7. Enrico says:

My name is Enrico and I am 29 years old. I am a professional athlete in the Fiamme oro sports group, in the light athletics section. I started to have some problems a couple of years ago, but, with painkillers I kept the problems at bay during workouts. After a few months, training had become really difficult, despite going to a physiotherapist and an osteopath… then, the federal doctors advised me to have ozone therapy, even though I had already been to a specialized ozone centre with bad results. I spent a year and a half with daily pains that prevented me from training properly, but also prevented me from living normally. Then, one of the doctors who I see said surgery was the only way out of my situation. Fortunately, another athlete had recently been operated on by Dr. Capuano Christian.
Then a fellow I know gave me the contact info, and said if he didn’t respond I should send a Whatsapp message (which he would respond to). Dr. Capuano Christian replied to me (trust someone who unfortunately has met many doctors), and I understood how available he makes himself to people: I do not know many doctors who would respond to a potential patient on Whatsapp. We set up an appointment, and I met not only a doctor, but a person who explained my situation to me in a comprehensible way, with all the problems and possibilities for resolving them. So, on 18 September, I had a discectomy and foramenotomy of the root of S1, in spinal anaesthesia, by microsurgical technique. After the effects of the anaesthesia wore off, they made me get out of bed, and the next day I was walking down the corridor, and the next day I walked outside the clinic. Back home, I walk every day without feeling any pain, and yesterday I had the stitches removed. Today I cannot say that I ran, but let’s say that I walked briskly. Starting on Friday, I will alternate cycling and running on grass. And don’t forget I was operated on September 18. If I had known Dr. Capuano earlier, I certainly would not have missed 2 years of competitions. I would have suffered less physical and mental pain. I also would have taken even less cortisone and fewer anti-inflammatories in general… I just want to thank him for what he did, for how he treats you, not as a patient but as a friend, always keeps in touch, unlike many doctors who disappear after your surgery.
I have gone on too long, but I can never say too much about this doctor. I recommend anyone who has spine problems to contact the doctor and hope to convince you with my story. See you in the spring, when I’m ready to compete again, thanks to Dr. Capuano.

  8. Fabio Tonati says:

A Professional, a Doctor and a Friend: Christian.
My name is Fabio, and I am 39 years old and work as an accountant.
Five years ago I started having severe sciatica pain, which was treated with anti- inflammatories and cortisone. This, combined with a lot of weight loss and exercise allowed me to “carry on” for a little over a year, until the problem reappeared: Expelled hernia L5-S1, with the impossibility of moving for two months. So, I turned to Dr. Christian Capuano, upon the advice of my doctor.
I started oxygen-ozone therapy and immediately benefited from it. Then, following Christian’s orders, I had physiotherapy specifically aimed at my situation. I lived fully with a minimum precautions for over three years, until, I had a saphenectomy (May 2017), which stopped me again (the only way to not feel pain was to lie down). A new MRI showed the urgent need for surgical intervention due to L5-S1 Spondylosis aggravated by a herniated disc.
On September 27th, I was had a discectomy, lumbosacral arthrodesis and osteosynthesis L5-S1 (4 screws, 2 tie rods and a cage)… the next morning, a dear friend (Christian) helped me to get up, and he stood by my side while I took the first steps of my new life. Yes, the pains that have ruined my last months of life are gone and finally I understand the meaning of rebirth. On the 29 September I went back home…
Christian, not only took responsibility for my health, but also took care of my well-being, and that of my loved ones. He listened to us and gave us support and clear and understandable explanations.
Throughout the difficulty and fear of dealing with such a serious operation, Christian was not only the Professional who operated on me, or the Doctor who made decisions… he was a Friend who helped us all along the journey, to reach our intended and desired goal.

  9. Nassib says:

I met Dr. Capuano through a mutual friend and thanks to him today my life has changed… I walk… I work, and I travel without any problems for 10 months out of year.
I spent years looking for a solution to my back pain, spending time and money with insignificant results that did not allow me to live a normal life (I came back from a trip to Singapore in a wheelchair). I often could not walk due to the pain. Now, thanks to your patience and your professionalism, I can say I have been healed.
I can never thank you enough Christian, as a doctor, but above all, as a friend. You supported throughout the heeling process with great patience, availability, competence: without you my life would have been a disaster…
I’m not going to dwell on the long story of seeking help in Italy and abroad that I made before I knew him, I could write a book. I’ll just tell you the end… Thank you! Christian! I am lucky to have met you…
I highly recommend him to all those in similar situations.

  10. Sonia Poletti says:

Good morning Doctor. My name is Sonia Poletti, and I wanted to thank you for the excellent results reached with my father, but above all, for having the “courage” to operate on a person who is 87 years old, who in recent years has suffered a lot due to stenosis L4-L5. He had been had forced to stay indoors at home because of constant pain. As we told you it was very difficult because nobody would take the responsibility of operating on a person of that age, even though my father had severe constant pain. Finally, thanks to you, my dad seems as if he has been reborn. He was operated on successfully, under spinal anaesthesia, and the same evening he was able to sit without pain. The next day he was standing and taking his first steps. Today, after fifteen days, he can walk without pain and can hardly believe it. Thank you so much for the humanity and professionalism you have shown us, which is really rare to find in such a qualified doctor. Thank you!

  11. Fulvio says:

Good morning Doctor. MY name is Fulvio Annoni, and I am very happy with the success of my surgery. I have not experienced any post-operative pain, which is allowing me a quick recovery (in just two weeks), although it was a demanding operation, lasting four hours.
I am also very satisfied with your help before and after the operation.
Thank you very much and I will highly recommend you to those who need it.

  12. Corrado says:

Good morning, I am a freelancer (now 52 years old) from Milan, and I have suffered since I was 35 from acute sciatica crises, sometimes two or three times a year, with the obvious limitations in work and sport. Not having hernias or protrusions the solutions that have been proposed in the past were almost exclusively based either on anti-inflammatory therapies (based on cortisone etc.), and/or on physiotherapy or chiropractic sessions.
None of these therapies provided clear results. Highs and lows had become very common.
In November 2014, I have been under the care of Dr. Christian Capuano. He treated me with oxygen-ozone infiltration, and now the situation has improved significantly. Which I doubted was possible. My use of anti-inflammatories has drastically decreased, mostly eliminated and reduced to the occasional use of a patch, with beneficial effects for the whole body.
I have also had systemic therapy with Oxygen Ozone, and since 2016 the results of blood tests show (for a 52-year-old man) everything is within normal parameters. Just two years ago, my “transaminases” were out of range, even though I don’t smoke and I am a teetotaler.
I have resumed my sports activity and continue the treatments with the doctor, should be recognized, in my opinion, not only as an fine professional but also for his humanity and attention, qualities that are rarely found in doctors with this level of preparation.

  13. Stefania Pancore says:

My name is Stefania, and I am 49 years old.
My ordeal began in 2014 with pain and a stiff neck. My neck up after turning my head. I passed sleepless nights with arm and shoulder pain. It was a real disaster!!
I tried everything, acupuncture, infiltration, massage, radar therapy, traction, Marconi therapy without positive results. In fact, as time passed, my situation worsened until I was unable to move my arms and shoulders. Painkillers, cortisone and anti-inflammatories… itching… Until, through a friend, I met “THE WIZARD”, Dr. Christian Capuano.
I started a series of ozone treatments and after 2 months the doctor recommended surgery. It consisted of a discectomy and foramenotomy, with circumferential arthrodesis on C4-C5.
May 22, 2017, at 8:00 in the morning I am in the operating room.
May 22, 2017, at 19:00 in the evening I’m eating dinner, and because I feel so well I go out for a coffee, making the whole department worry because they couldn’t find me (they were absolutely right)!
    May 24th, 2017, I go back home.
After 15 days the stitches are removed, along with the stiff collar (substituted by a soft one) which I don’t need to wear at night!!
I feel reborn. I can finally sleep on my side (which was impossible before). I have no more pain… I can even hook my bra by myself, behind my back!! All of this is simply wonderful!!
Now, I’m waiting for the second surgery in the lumbar area, where I also have problems. I am sure the results will be positive, thanks to Dr. Capuano!!
I believe that the interaction between the doctor and the patient is fundamental. A patient must feel like a person, not like just part of your income…
I guarantee that Dr. Capuano is the most human, positive and competent person I have ever met in all of my past medical consultations!
A heartfelt thanks and see you soon!!!

  14. Elisa Corbetta says:

My name is Elisa, and I am 41 years old. I have had a condition called anterolysthesis (the sliding of one vertebra over another) in the L5 S1 area, since high school. In 2009, I went to an orthopaedist who, after an MRI confirming the anterolysthesis, advised me to only do exercise to keep the abdominal girdle well-toned, to prevent the condition from worsening, and using anti-inflammatories when needed. Done.
In April 2016 I started to have severe pain in the lumbar area and in the gluteus area. Every day the pain became more and more intense, even unbearable. It made a simple walk in the woods an ordeal (I have danced Flamenco for 16 years and have always been sporty). The pain passed only by lying down. My walk became crooked.
In September 2016, thanks to the advice of my beautician (who had already been operated on by Dr. Capuano with great results), I went to Dr. Christian Capuano’s office. He prescribed an MRI. Diagnosis: sciatica and aggravated anterolysthesis that could only be resolved with surgery. I asked myself: “I am 40 years old, can I imagine spending the rest of my life like this? Absolutely not!”
After 10 injections of oxygen-therapy, I had surgery on February 15: 4 screws, 1 cage, 2 bars (because I am missing the isthmus, a small bone, since birth) and the consequent release of the sciatic nerve.
February 16: after removing the drainage tube, I got up without a corset and started walking.
After 10 days I had the stitches removed and after 30 days I was back at work.
Seeing such remarkable results in such a short time, my first thought was: why didn’t I have this done last April. I could have regained 6 months of my life. I am a living witness of how, a person can really feel good after this surgery, not better, but GOOD!
I found my smile again, have had the chance to put my flamenco shoes back on and have started my new life. One more thing, perhaps the most important thing that made everything possible: Dr. Capuano is not just a doctor, but a real doctor worthy of carrying the name, because, in addition to having done an excellent job, he is a simply extraordinary person who never abandons his patients, despite the fatigue and his numerous commitments. He followed me day by day, in all my little doubts and uncertainties following the surgery. Love, the commitment with which he carries out his work, his passion, his great humanity and his attention to his patients have really made the difference. I will be forever grateful to this person. A heartfelt thanks.

  15. Ilaria Morando says:

My name is Ilaria, and I am 38 years old. I am teacher in a nursery school. A year and a half ago I started having sciatica, which lasted over a long and difficult period. I was treated with anti-inflammatories, painkillers and finally, cortisone. I had in about sixty cortisone injections (prescribed by my family physician), and finally an MRI was prescribed. I didn’t sleep for about 8 months… as soon as I stayed still, the nightmarish pain began. I was fine when I was moving. The MRI showed disc disease. “Nothing important”, insisted my doctor, “you have to go to a physiatrist for treatment”… Then a friend recommended Dr. Capuano to me.
I had my first appointment in March 2016, followed by 10 injections of oxygen-ozone (as pre-operative preparation), and on June 30 I was operated on: 6 screws, 2 plates, 1 cage and finally the release of the root of the sciatic nerve. On July 1, after removing the drainage, I got up from the bed and walked.
A new life… I feel reborn. On 2 July, I was back home, and after 10 days I had the 30 stitches removed. And on July 16 I helped my wedding witness to get dressed!!! I want to thank Dr. Capuano, because in addition to having ended the pain, he always treated me like a person and not just as a patient.
He is a magnificent doctor with a big heart, he is warm with every patient. Thanks so much.
